Charles Oliveira da Silva is a Brazilian professional mixed martial artist who currently competes in the lightweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, where he is the reigning UFC Lightweight Champion.
Oliveira began his amateur and then professional MMA career in 2007 in his home country of Brazil, compiling a record of 12–0, with six knockouts and five submissions. On three separate occasions, Oliveira has compiled multiple wins on the same night.
Oliveira made his professional debut in March 2008 where he battled through high ranked fighters and earned himself multiple championships and accomplishments.
