To understand Julius’ path to becoming the THE BENCH PRESS WORLD RECORD HOLDER, it best to hear about his inspiring journey from the man himself.
“My lifting career began after living a life of breaking the law and running from responsibility. I found myself in a jail cell in 2012. I had a choice to serve my time or go to a Christ centered recovery program called Friends of Sinners. I chose option 2. God used that second option to transform a junkie into one of the strongest men on the planet. In the program’s dirt floor basement was a bench and that’s where the journey began. Fast forward to 2018, I’m a husband, father, and follower of Christ by the grace of God who serves full-time at the same place my lifting journey started, but now lifting up people who are in the same position I was in. On February 17, 2018 I benched 705 pounds becoming the 5th person in history to bench 700. August 12 2019 I broke the all time World Record for Benchpress 739.6 pounds. My next goal is to reach heights that no man has ever thought about reaching and also venture in to Strong man.”
