MHP Updates

RULES:

Male fans at the Olympia Expo are invited to compete. The contest is open to Men only.

Entry is first come, first served and is open to any men who enter the Olympia Expo Hall and wish to compete in the competition. There is no qualification or invitation with regard to Strongman Fan Experience. The contest rules are relatively simple.

Weight Classes: There are two Men’s weight classes – Under 220 lbs. and 220 lbs. & Over.

Each competitor must complete four events:

1.) Iron Kross. Competitors hold a 30 lb. dumbbell in each hand out to the side for maximum time.

2.) Power Push-Ups: Each contestant performs the maximum number of reps possible with a 50 lb. sandbag on their back.

3.) Strongman Curls: Lightweights are required to curl 85 lbs. for maximum reps. Heavyweights must rep out with 125 lbs.
for maximum reps.

4.) Farmer’s Walk: The final event has competitors holding an 80 lb. weighted tube in each hand as they walk or run a 120 foot course, including going around two corners. This is judged for fastest time.

NO REST BETWEEN EVENTS.

Competitors will be ranked in each event based on performance, from 1^st downward. Points will be given for each event based on the placement (i.e., 1 point for 1^st, 2 points for 2^nd, etc.). The winner shall be decided by the lowest number of points. Any ties will be settled by the lightest man in that weight class winning.
